Team Competition Rules

  • You may create a new team and invite as many coworkers, family members, or friends to join your team.
  • You may also join an existing team if someone you know has already created a team.
  • All participants must be registered for this year’s Conemaugh Que Classic prior to creating or joining a team.
  • Your team can be a mix of any race type (5K Walkers, 5K Runners, and or 10K Runners), or all of the same.
  • Teams must have at least 5 members on their rosters by the September 15th deadline.
  • Each member of your team will earn points based on their race day finishing time (official chip time).
  • Points are calculated based on the race type, gender, and the age of each participant on your team.
  • Total team points will be added up and then divided by the number of total participants for a total team score.
  • Prizes will be awarded for the following 6 categories:

- Top 3 overall teams with the highest average scores
- Top team with the highest average score with all team members registered for the 5K walk category
- Top team with the highest average score with all team members registered for the 5K run category
- Top team with the highest average score with all team members registered for the 10K run category
- Top team with the highest average score whose average team age is 55 years or older
- Team with the largest roster

Team ABC had 7 team members participate in all 3 race types and all 7 members crossed the finish line on race day.
Member 1: 5K Walk, Female, Age 42, Finishing Chip Time (49:15) = 35 Points
Member 2: 5K Walk. Female, Age 53, Finishing Chip Time (54:02) = 20 Points
Member 3: 5K Run, Male, Age 19, Finishing Chip Time (21:43) = 90 Points
Member 4: 5K Run, Female, Age 25, Finishing Chip Time (20:30) = 100 Points
Member 5: 5K Run, Male, Age 43, Finishing Chip Time (28:27) = 75 Points
Member 6: 5K Run, Male, Age 61, Finishing Chip Time (34:18) = 65 Points
Member 7: 10K Run, Female, Age 47, Finishing Chip Time (59:46) = 45 Points
Total Team Points = 430
Total Team Score = 61.4 (430 total team points divided by 7 team members)
